Me, Myself and I

Me, Myself and I

Mental Health Awareness Week 2018
Changing Minds about Mental Health

I watch the days pass by me
They flash before my eyes
So many things to test me
Lows, without the highs

I feel myself imploding
I feel I cannot breath
I feel my mind is closing ranks
I feel my good thoughts leave

I want to sleep a thousand years
I want to run a mile
I want much more than disaccord
I want to keep my smile

I need to wake up daily
Knowing I’ll be fine
I need to share my feelings
But all I do is hide

I have to stop believing
That this is here to stay
I have to start believing
Today’s a brighter day

I know I’m not the only one
An island on my own
I know that others feel this way
Lost and so alone.

But maybe they are hiding
Or is it that I’m blind
For though I look, I only see
What’s lurking in my mind.

This morning there is sunshine
A blue and cloudless sky
It might just be a better day
For Me, Myself and I.
